1. I learned where to build my resume, about a work student loan that you do not have to pay for unless you do not complete the courses and do not work in that field in NC for a year after graduating, I also learned where and how to apply to FAFSA.
ReplyDelete2.Scholarships can be given be out to students with a GPA starting at 2.5, there are 28 majors and 20 minors, and the student to instructor ratio is 15:1
3. They offer a $180,000 scholarship, they are affiliated with 80 schools across the country, they will take the highest combined scores when applying to the scholarship.
1. I learned how to apply for FAFSA. when applying for it go for the FAFSA work study. Also I learn about student loans.
ReplyDelete2. They do require SAT?ACT and the writing. They are a small base school. They are built off Christian beliefs.
3. They actually pay for you to go to school. They allow you to experience college life also. They allow you to major in any area you want.
CFNC Grants and Scholarships
ReplyDelete1. I learned that need based scholarships are usually base on Expected Family Income or the Student Aid Report.
2. You cannot begin the FASFA until the January of the year you plan to attend college.
3. Subsidized loans accrue interest in college whereas unsubsidized loans do accrue interest in college.
NC Wesleyan
1. There is only one Valedictorian/Salutatorian Scholarship left.
2. Wesleyan has a program that allows you to take general education classes on campus and engineering classes at State.
3. Most major courses (not general education) are 15 students or smaller.
US NAVY
1. The requirement for the NAVY scholarship are 520 in math and 530 in reading on the SAT.
2. If you decide that you don't want to continue in the Navy program after your freshman year, you can leave the program without penalty.
3. During the summer, you are allowed to participate in programs with the Navy such as spending the summer on a Destroyer.

NC Wesleyan
1. Valedictorian and Salutatorian Scholarships go fast

3. Apparently it is heavily religious
US Navy
1. They will pay for any major
2. And by pay i mean full ride
3. Males are required to cut their hair
4. for some reason female uniform shirts are thicker than the male ones

2. There are many scholarship websites and applying for small ones can make a big difference.
3. FAFSA only applies for the semester your attending school so applying in January-February is important.
NC Wesleyan:
1. I learned that Wesleyan switched it roles to becoming more religious.
2. They offer programs such as Premed, Pre Law, and Criminology.
3. Have programs that allow you to transfer to NC State afterwards to receive degree.
US Navy:
1. They can help pay for programs and majors
2. Have summer programs such as testing equipment.
3. Recently allowed women to have the option of not cutting their hair.
From the CFNC Webinar, I learned that:
ReplyDelete- The form for FASFA cannot be turned in until the start of the new year.
- If able to do so, a student can apply for Merit Based and Need Based scholarships.
- Using national source engines for scholarships can be very helpful, but spam and other unwanted emails can occur as a result.
From the NCWC Speaker I learned that:
- The school is very small with a student:teacher ratio of 15:1.
-They offer the program that I want to go into (which is Pre-Med).
- When the application, ACT/SAT scores, and highschool transcript are all turned in, student admission decision can be given in 48 hours.
From the guest speakers of the US Navy I learned that:
- If a student joins the program, tuition will be covered.
- If a student ends up not liking the program, he/she can get out of it before the start of their sophomore year without any strings attached.
-The program pays for the tuition for many schools including Yale and Harvard.

1.) NEVER go to Fafsa.com, it needs to be .org or edu.org
2.) You should NEVER have to pay for scholarship information
3.) Resources for scholarships are good at scholarships.com and the school counselor.
NCWC:
1.) Most popular majors include biochemistry, criminology, and psychology.
2.) They let you know if you get into the school within 2 days.
3.) It is a Christian-based school
ROTC:
1.) They pay for all of your school expenses.
2.) You are eligible for tons of scholarship money.
3.) Even if in ROTC, you can still focus on whatever you would like to major outside of it.
