Do you feel that you have the support at home/from family in your endeavor to get your bachelor's degree/further your education? Why or why not? How could they support you more? 3-4 sentences.

  1. Yes I do feel that I have the support from home and family to go and further my education. Its not many other ways they can support me more because I feel that I have enough support especially with having sisters who have already gone through the college experience. Knowing that its not going to be the same for me but, it is good to know someone who has gone through what you will be going through soon. Also getting good advice on how to apply to college, scholarships, and financial aid.

  2. Yes, I do feel like I have support from my family when it comes to going off to college. My parents want to see me live a successful life of that in which I am independent not having to rely on anyone else. My mother supports me on an emotional level while my father supports me financially. My father attended NC State for a few semesters so he can help me when it comes to applying to colleges.

  3. Yes, I do feel that I have the support from my family at home when it comes to going off to college. My family wants to see me do better things in life than they did because I will be the first to actually go to college. They support me in a lot of ways now, so I do not know any more ways that they can support me because they are doing a lot for me. They are really helpful when it comes down to making sure that I am on top of my school work.

  4. Yes, I feel that I do have support at home and from my family in my endeavor to get my bachelor’s degree. My family does a lot to support me and they all want me to be able to be successful. I do not feel that there is much more that they can do to support because they help me stay focused and motivated. They also understand me a lot because they were in my shows at one point as well.

  5. I feel like my parents are both supportive and unsupportive. My parents don't like my choice of school or degree. They could be more help by realizing I don't want to stay in this town with them forever and that accounting is boring. My mom could also be more helpful by telling me she'll do her taxes as soon as possible. She keeps telling "I'll do my taxes on my own time", I can't stress to her enough how important it is.

  6. Yes I feel that I have support at home and from my family, to get ready for college. My mom is great motivator because she just started going back to school again. That has given me the motivation to do everything I can to prepare for college. I keep my mom up to date about everything dealing with college so she's behind me 100%.

  7. I feel that I do not. My mother does not really care, which is kinda crucial for support. If she cared more and got less angry, it would be better.

  8. I do feel that I have the support from my family. My parents want to see nothing but good things for me in life and I feel that they will do everything in their power for my dreams to come true. When I called them the other night while they were at dinner to tell them I had been accepted to Trevecca, they were so excited for me and can't wait to see what my future holds.

  9. I have my parents full, 100% support when it comes down to getting my Bachelor's degree. Ever since I was a child it was their dream that I go to college and leave with a Bachelor's (or higher). Both are excited about my school choices/major and they can not wait to see me mature and achieve!

  10. I feel that both of my parents are supportive in my decision to further my education, but I also feel they could be more supportive. My mother is more supportive then my dad, but then again, I live with my mom, so i'm always around her (so I understand). My mother encourages me to go to the colleges that have open houses that look interesting and to apply to any universities the interests me while my father likes to listen to the experiences i'm having with applying to college and the ideas I have in my mind about what I want to do and where I want to go.

  11. I believe that I have full support when it comes to me going to college. My parents really want me to get into college and I suppose I am almost prepared to go. I have more support from my family then from myself. Since my mum is going to college right now, it is much easier for me to transition with the help of her. She helps me with what I need, like college classes, and also for my major. The only support that I need is from myself and I want to go to college, but sometimes I think otherwise and start to come up with a whole other route or change of plans.

  12. Yes I feel I have support because my ma always tells me to follow my dreams of becoming a doctor... she has encouraged me to apply to chapel hill and tells me all the time I have a good chance of getting in!! Also my ma tells me not to be like her but better... I have a chance of living a more comfortable life and she pushes me to do what will make me happy!!

  13. Yes I do feel like my parents support me. I will be the first person in my immediate family to actually go to college. My mom supports me in many ways. She supports me emotionally, financially, and spiritually. She is proud of me for wanting to go to school and to be a teacher. She supports me 100%. My dad did not use to support me. He did not want me to be a teacher. He did not feel like it was the right thing for me to do. However in the past couple of years he has changed his mind and is supportive. My dad dropped out of high school and got his GED and my mother never went back to school to get her degree after she graduated from high school. So both of them really support me doing something they couldn't. They want the best for me and want me to have a better life then they did.

  14. I feel that both my parents support me as much as they can. They try there best to offer any support and try to make sure they are up to date on my plans for both what I want to get a degree in and where I want to go to school. I do not feel like there is much more they can do right now to support me. The best support I could get right now would be from my cousin who has already got a degree in Geology, the field of study I plan to go into, so that I can understand what to expect in terms of classes.

  15. I am without a doubt supported by my parents to further my education and earn my bachelor’s degree. Since day one my mother has always stressed to me how important getting a good education is. She wants to see me take on opportunities that she never even had the chance to think about when she was younger. Whenever I may be stressed about the whole college application process, my mom has her ways of keeping me calm and collected. I do my best to keep her updated with everything that is going on school wise, while she plays her role of making sure I stay focused. I am definitely thankful to have the support system that I do.

  16. I know for a fact that I have support from my family and friends because they have been here every step of the way since I have been at ECHS. My family has constantly helped me during the times of the school year when I felt like giving up. Also, my parents have done an amazing job helping me determine which schools are my top five and have also helped me analyzed each school to make sure it was the right fit for me.

  17. I know that I have support from my family. My mom is even starting early on getting me things for my dorm/apartment when I have to leave. Both stay on me about getting things done and even though I used to hate it when I was younger and even a little know, I am thankful for it because I wouldn't be here now if it weren't for them.

  18. Strangely enough I asked my parents about exactly what they expected from me last week. I always knew that they wanted me to atleast get my bachelors degree. It was never an option always mandatory. They also told me that they would love for me to get my doctors degree but we will cross that bridge when it gets here.

  19. I have a great support system like Elisheba said my mom has already started getting me things for my dorm room. I couldn't be more grateful. Her and Mrs. Battle have done a great job keeping my eyes on the prize this year. CLASS OF 2015

  20. I do feel that my parents support me in my endeavor to get a bachelors degree. They frequently encourage me to do my best and provide praise for my successes. Whenever I am having trouble with something, they take the time to help me work things out. That is why I feel like I have a good support base.

  21. I feel as thought my parent will support no matter what degree I obtain. My parents are very supportive and will help in anyway they can. I they always told me to do better them and going to college is a good start.

  22. Yes, because they were the ones who pushed me towards Early College, so of course they're pushing me to keep going with my education towards college. They also remind to do all my college work and keep up with all my college application and scholarships. They also gave the option if I wanted to work my 13th year.

  23. I feel parents have been very supportive in my want for more education. They continue to urge me to get college applications done as well as pay for the applications. I honestly would hate to ask my parents to do anything more than what they have already done. My parents above and beyond for me, the rest isupto me...

  24. Yes, I feel that my mother supports me in whatever decision I make in regards to school. She has been my rock for a lot of school years, helping me with projects, test, studying, etc. I do not know where I would be if it wasn't for her support. I don't think that there is any way that she could support me any more than she already was.

  25. My Parents support me in everything that I do . Regardless of the situation they were always supportive of my education. All i ask is that my parents continue to do what they are doing now.
